Waiting
Well we have moved out of our home. The day before moving day was really hard. I stayed up until 2am getting boxes packed. I woke up at 6am finishing up last things before the movers got there. I did everything Greg told me to do to reduce the cost of moving by moving all the boxes to the front room and garage. I took 4 hours off the move that way. Then the next day I closed on my house. We were supposed to have a 2:30 pm closing on the house we are buying but the VA department hasn’t approved it yet. So we are thankfully staying with a friend here in Loveland who has been so gracious to let us use their basement space until we can move into the house.
At this point it is hard to be excited. It’s one last wrench thrown into things and maybe God is asking us to show some worship and gratefulness to him. To praise him instead of worry and fester.
It’s 10:32 pm…and we still haven’t closed on the house…and now it’s looking like Monday or possibly Tuesday that we close…meanwhile, work waits. What do I tell my clients who are waiting on me? It’s also really hard to focus on work when life is in limbo…when the status of having a home is pending, it’s really hard to get anything else done because my head isn’t in it.
