The Super Bowl at Kalepaki Joe’s
On Saturday morning we woke up to a later breakfast than normal and went to Little Fish to get the amazing coffee and breakfast sandwich we had from our first morning here. I have since tried to replicate the bagel sandwich at home! It was delicious and I’m glad we were able to go back a second time.
Then we went to a few shops so that I could get some souvenirs for the boys. I got them some t-shirts and keychains for their backpacks. I also got my friend Katie a sea turtle.
Boyfriend got me a wonderful sea turtle necklace that was partially a Valentine’s Day gift. It was very sweet of him. After a little bit of shopping, we went back to pack up our things for the airport. After we got it all ready, we headed down to the beach for a little bit before deciding to find a bar to watch the Super Bowl.
We ended up at Kalepaki Joe’s which was a great experience with a few Kansas City Chief fans as well as a whole table of Eagles fans who were die hards! We enjoyed some food and some drinks before heading over to the airport.
We were tired and really weren’t looking forward to an overnight flight, but we managed to make it work. I had a hard time getting comfortable in the seat because there just wasn’t any ability to lay down or recline at all. We boarded that flight at 7:30pm and didn’t get back to Colorado until 6:00 am the next morning. I was so exhausted that I went home and just slept until about 11am.
I really didn’t do much else that day except send some emails to some clients letting them know I had returned from my vacation.
