Grateful for rest
I am waking up this Sunday morning for the second day in a row at the time I wanted to wake up…not because I needed to set an alarm and be somewhere. Rest is so important for the quality you put into your work. When you are not well rested, quality fails in most areas of life. So I am grateful today for things that bring me rest and restoration. It’s interesting that the first part of the word “restoration” starts with rest, right?
In 11 days, we will be signing the closing documents on leaving our home on Hydra and buying our new home in Thornton. It’s been quite the journey to say the least. There’s always something to do. Something that needs to be done. This is the reality of “living”. There’s always a to-do list.
But in just 11 days, we’ll be in our new home starting a new adventure with our new church family, new school, maybe new lines of work, new ministries.
Our lives are changing drastically and it’s right around the corner!
