James 5:16

“The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”

While this morning I am waking up sick. I am grateful that through my sickness, I have a bed to rest in, food in my fridge and pantry and honey for my tea on the way from a shipt order. I am truly blessed. The generations that came before me inventing things that make life a bit easier, I am grateful for it. Grateful God gave them the vision that has helped improve humanity. When I think of the amazing things people have done throughout history, I wonder if my role or life has any significance?

Life is funny. In this culture, fame and wealth make a person think they’ve made it… achieved the best life can offer. The older I get the more, I realize that’s just not true. Today I am grateful for my caring husband, my friends, my family, my new home. I am grateful that I just have a cold, something I can easily get over.

Thank you Lord Jesus, for everything!
