Much Needed Pampering

Hardly have I ever been pampered…like really taken care of. And my guy did it. He booked a massage for me! I’ve never had a massage before. But let’s talk about why he booked this for me.

I had a really rough week working for a client that had a deadline so extreme it had me working til the wee hours of the morning…not only that, I clogged my garbage disposal so bad and lodged a pin from a corn on the cob holder down in the disposal and it wedged in the gears so much that it wouldn’t even hum.

I first tried to schedule a plumber to come out but , they kept canceling on me due to their plumbing emergencies so after a week of eating out and having to do dishes in my bathroom, I decided to take things into my own hands, watch a few YouTube videos, purchase a new garbage disposal and install it myself.

I did it with only a few words you’d hear come out of a sailers mouth. But I did it all by myself from start to finish!

Anyway back to the massage, my beau new that I was a bit uptight this week and scheduled a massage for me. I was a little nervous laying naked on a table while someone I didn’t know massaged my body, but once I told the massage therapist that I was nervous, she eased my fear a bit and I was able to relax and enjoy the massage which helped release a lot of tension I had in my back, shoulders, and arms from a week of editing photos until midnight, and one night it was 1:30 in the morning when I finally stopped!

The client had an extreme deadline and it was really important that we meet their needs and get them what they wanted for their curriculum.

At any rate, between my massage and my facial, they served me a cranberry mimosa!

I’ve only ever had an orang juice mimosa, and now my new favorite alcoholic drink is the Cranberry mimosa! After my massage, that’s actually when I finished putting together the new garbage disposal, I started it on Friday and finished it up this evening and I’m so glad I have a usable sink now!

I spent the rest of the evening relaxing, I picked up some sushi and went back home and watched a movie…and now I’m in bed finishing up this blog. I decided not to do any business at all today and chose to just give myself a day. I’m glad I did.

I think I will be better to the people I love because I’ve had a day to myself.
