I have a 14 year old

It’s weird to say this….but I have a 14 year old son. He will be in high school in August! He’s a couple of years away from driving, and holding a job. He’s getting older…and he’s a pretty good kid. He’s also on Facebook! He’s old enough for a Facebook account, so the place I used to post baby pictures and videos of him, I can’t anymore because it embarrasses him. I’m not sure how to handle this.

I guess I handle it by simply accepting that the preteen years have rolled over into the teen years and to embrace that he will be an adult one day and it’s my job to prepare him for this. They are only small for a fraction of their lives and we can’t hold them in that place. We have to allow them to grow and develop into the person God wants them to be. So I pray my parenting decisions help him with that.

So while I want to post him as a 14 year old in my blog I will not to respect his privacy, but he is a handsome kid, with a bright future in track and I can’t wait to see where his physical endurance takes him.
